bluetooth not working after resume from suspend on hp pavilion dv3000

Hello
I have this problem on my HP (model mentioned above): after I close the laptop lid and open it again and resume from the suspend, my bluetooth does not work. I checked the modules, but they are all loaded as they should, lsusb also shows the device, yet bluetooth-applet would not allow browsing for devices in range and etc - only a reboot fixes the problem. I would really appreciate some advise on this one, thanks in advance.

Greetingz!

Please bear in mind that there are two kinds of "suspend"

Suspend-to-RAM (s2ram): This is a near-power-off. Pulling out the battery will cause you to lose unsaved data.

Suspend-to-Disk (s2hdd): Total power-off of the machine. Pulling the battery and beating it will not cause you to lose data (been there, done that, got the refurbished battery from Dell).

So when you mention "suspend", I'm assuming it's the "s2ram" kind.

By chance have you tried unloading ("rmmod"), then reloading ("insmod" or "modprobe") the BlueTooth modules?

You would have to double-check the output from "lsmod" first, in order to ensure you were reloading the correct module.
