This is a simple installation of FC3 on an IBM Thinkpad 600E laptop. Things are going mostly well. Problems are being tackled one at a time with help from LQ. Here is the next one in line...
I have a Blitzz Netwave Point II wireless PC card. That's model BWP612B, and it has a Realtek 8180 chipset.
I found a Red Hat 9.0 driver for it on iblitzz.com, and got a little excited. Then I went to Realtek's web site and found a driver that is made specifically for FC3 and got very excited. I really hope this can be a breeze.
What seems very odd is that, while I think I got the driver compiled properly
(think) the documentation that comes with it references an open source driver called open8180.ko (it must just be a clever name).
This file is not included in the zip file that the driver was compressed in, and I can't find it on the web.
Any Help??
TIA
