Best palmtop/"small computer" for linux?

Hello all,

I was wondering what systems (if any) are avaliable in palmtop form that can run a) run linux, b) have some sort of keyboard and c) don't have a ludicrusly high price. What I am thinking of is something like a Psion 5MX, I already have one of these and it runs linux ok but it is also very restrictive and quite old (the only other comparable system I have is an even older Atari Portfolo, though I don't think linux can run on that with only 128K of memory free!). Are there any systems a little like the 5MX about at all which can run linux?

Thanks,

SP

There are lots, though I don't know your price range. I think you might be looking for one of these. http://linuxdevices.com/articles/AT8728350077.html or one of these, http://linuxdevices.com/articles/AT8349493265.html

I just looked up the amazon price for the psion, and for $400, I could build you a hell of tiny pc, don't think it'd be hand held though.

Best of luck....

David

P.S. If you wanted a tiny risc based pc, check out the A9home. I've read a little about it, and it seems pretty cool.

There are porting projects for the Pocket PCs, and Palms. But you can also get a PepperPad 3. I just got an Archos 604 WiFi, which I am using to write this. but it has software "locks" that have not been cracked yet & no PIM capabilities yet.
