Question ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 on Kubuntu 9.10 64 bit

I bought Asus K50AB, display card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570. I installed Kubuntu 9.10 64 bit. But my desktop effects are not working on my laptop. So I tried to install my driver from http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.HTML and after installtion complete I restarted my laptop. My kubuntu shows me console.

I also tried to install using envyng-core. It has same problem as above.

If some body installed successfully please tell me step the steps to install the ati driver on my Kubuntu 9.10 64 bit.

If you need more info let me know.

Thanks.

You should simply be able to enable the necessary restricted driver via jockey-kde. You need to absolutely make sure that there are no other versions of the driver still floating around from when you manually tried to install it or when you used envy-ng

I solved my problem

My asus have 2 graphic card (integrated, dedicated).
I disabled integrated graphic card from BIOS. (Xpress to dGPU)
I installed envyng-core and my ati driver. It is now working.
