asus g50vt ubuntu vga port

I can't seem to make the vga port work.

My xorg is pretty bare, not what I expected (below).

Nothing in the bios to enable/disable...

NVIDIA GeForce 9800M

what should I add to my xorg?

Code:
Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Default Screen"
        Monitor "Configured Monitor"
        Device "Configured Video Device"
        DefaultDepth 24
EndSection

Section "Module"
        Load "glx"
EndSection

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Configured Video Device"
        Driver "nvidia"
        Option "NoLogo" "True"
EndSection
xrandr:

Code:
Screen 0: minimum 1680 x 1050, current 1680 x 1050, maximum 1680 x 1050
default connected 1680x1050+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   1680x1050 50.0*

got it. So simple!
win view
Code:
nvidia-settings
select the display, enable twin view.

this also helped:

BTW, in ubuntu don't attempt to install nvidia driver directly from nvidia without completely purging all nvidia driver packages using apt!
