Aspire One

I have a new Acer Aspire One, and after updating through the Acer site, enabling the right click menu, I have lost the icons in the shut down screen accessed through the shut down icon on the menu bar.
I have added the kde-games package through the add programs dialogue - could this have had this effect, is it retreivable?

Be gentle with me - I find this stuff scary (It's less scary doing it, than reading about it!)

Distribution? Did you enable 'testing' repositories?

#su

#shutdown -h now

If you have Ubuntu then

#sudo shutdown -ha now
<your password>
(for shutdown)

#sudo apt-get check
#sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

His distribution would be Linupus-Lite (fedora based distro)
