Anybody succeed in Linux on Digital HiNote Ultra 2000?
Looking to talk with anybody who has a Digital HiNote Ultra 2000
successfully running Linux, hopefully using X and Gnome or KDE. I know it's slow (233 Mhz), and so would response be. I just want to know if someone's been successful before I invest a lot of time trying to do it myself. Doug |
Linux on HiNote
The linked article is old but looks good. I would first try a Knoppix or Mepis live CD to evaluate device detection. |
I have had pretty good success running Linux on the Digitals. I have the same model as you mentioned. Mepis and Slackware seem to run the best on it. If you have any specific questions, maybe I can help.
