Advice on a linux-friendly pda/phone?

I'm interested in getting a Linux-friendly (ie easy to move notes/pics/etc between device and pc) PDA/phone combo. I've heard good things about the Treo, but thought I would post here to see if people have other suggestions for what else I should check out. I scanned the topics and didn't see anything, but feel free to refer me to another thread if this has already been asked.

Thanks!

I have a Palm Tungsten T5 and that serves me well. Either transfer your files via Bluetooth or set the T5 to "drive mode" - then it mounts as removable media.

The tungsten looks like a nice pda, but it doesn't appear to serve as a phone. Or am I missing something? I'm hoping to cosolidate my gadgets as much as possible, so a pda/phone combo would be ideal.

Only model I know of is the Treo 650 running palm OS. The Treo 700 are microsoft OS on them and support lower screen resolution. Not sure if it supports DUN. Might check into Nokia. They used to have the comunicator 9000. Not sure the model that replaces that unit. They used a propertory OS so adding software was not an option.
