Acpi


Im a newbie running a slack9 based os on a preario 2100 laptop and i wanna figure out how to do that acpi joint. I have no idea how it works, i enabled it n the kernel but where do i go next

You have my sympathies. I have a presario 2110. Basically the same thing.

Its been a long hard struggle.

I'm running mandrake 9.2 and so far, to get ACPI working, I had to upgrade to 2.6 (I used the rpm...I still can't get the source to compile) this gave me battery monitor, button power-down, I'm still trying to figure out suspend/restore (IF it works).

Next after that is the 3D acceleration.
