Acer One AOA110 8GB SSD Ubuntu 10.10 Remix Atheros Wireless

Hi there,
I have checked other forums and tried a few things, but am still struggling to get this working.

Acer One AOA110 8GB SSD

It came with Linux Linpus Lite and everything worked fine.
Linpus reports the Wireless card as an :

Atheros AR5006EG 802.11 b/g Wireless PCI Express 11g_ath_pci

I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook Remix and now it doesn't work.

Ubuntu reports via lspci the card as Atheros AR5001 Wirelss PCI Rev 01

I have tried a few methods but cannot get anywhere, I have installed the windows drivers via the ndis wrapper but the hardware says it is there, but no wireless.

How can it work in Linpus lite, but not work in Ubuntu?

any help or pointers greatly received.
Spikenaylor.

Funny; for me (I also have the same netbook, which I assume to be an AOA110-1545; it also came with Linpus) the desktop edition works fine. There is a problem, however, with Network Manager acting up: The wireless switch doesn't work, so you need to turn on the adapter with:

Code:

sudo iwconfig wlan0 txpower on
After this it should work.
