Acer aspire recovery partition

Help please!
Bought a new laptop, Acer Aspire 5633WLMi. Supposed to be a 120GB hdd.
What I am trying to find out is how to find and delete the recovery partition.
In linux the hdd is showing 120031MB which = 117.22GB and in windows it's showing 114478MB which = 111.8GB.
BTW have created recovery disks.

Run a fdisk -l and check for any partitions of type diagnostics or something similar. My output is something as follows :
Code:

Disk /dev/hda: 60.0 GB, 60011642880 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 7296 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

  Device Boot      Start        End      Blocks  Id  System
/dev/hda1              1        383    3076416  12  Compaq diagnostics
/dev/hda2  *        384        1427    8385930    c  W95 FAT32 (LBA)
/dev/hda3            1428        7296    47142742+  f  W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/hda5            1428        5263    30812638+  b  W95 FAT32
/dev/hda6            5264        5387      995998+  82  Linux swap
/dev/hda7  *        5388        6360    7815591  83  Linux
/dev/hda8            6361        7296    7518388+  83  Linux

As seen above /dev/hda1 is the recovery partition. Run cfdisk / fdisk to reformat or join the partition as per your needs.
