I installed Mandriva 2009 on an Acer Aspire 7720-6902 (a Core 2 Duo T5550). It works almost perfectly, except for one thing.
In dmesg, I get a stream of "APIC error on CPU0: 40(40)" messages. They seem to have no effect on the system operation, however. They're annoying and that's it.
