I have an Acer Aspire 3003 NLMi laptop running Mandriva 2006 free on it. Here are the important specs relating to my problem:
Sempron 3000+ processor, 257 DDR RAM, SiS chipset with integrated Graphics Card (SiS M760GX according to the technical specs and SiS Real256E according to what shows up in Mandriva Control Centre). The Graphics cards shares the system RAM and i have allocated 64MB RAM to it and it uses the PCI Bus.
My problem is that i dont think that the graphics card is being used to its full potential. I was able to start up Tux racer when i have Mandriva 2005 LE even though the frame rates where shameful but with 2006 tux racer wont even start up. I know its not a gaming machine configuration but i was wondering if it is setup to operate optimally.

any help or suggestions are welcome as to how to or whether i can enable direct rendering... otherwise id rather allocate more ram to the system...
