Hello guys,

My laptop is getting too hot, at idle it goes to 56 degress C. I've already tried to upgrade kernel from 2.6 to 3.2 but with no result.

I'm running Debian.

That notebook uses the Radeon HD4250 graphics chip. There are known issues with powersaving on that device with the free radeon drivers, which cause high CPU temperatures.
Do you use the free drivers or the proprietary drivers from AMD?

Yea, it worked, temperature average has dropped to 48 degrees C.

What I did was just install property ATI Mobility driver, downloaded from: http://support.amd.com/br/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Thank you
