Accelerometer Driver for Lenovo Ideapad S10-3

I have a Lenovo Ideapad S10-3. It has an accelerometer. In windows it works with Lenovo HDDAPS (Hard disk drive accelerometer protecting system) which controls my hard disk and turns that off when needed. I have looked for its driver in linux, but couldn't find anything. Is anything available for running then accelerometer of this laptop in linux?

IIRC, the accelerometer is somehow linked to hdd activity. It's function is to stop the disk writing when you're earthquaking the laptop.

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/HDAPS

"The driver only enables reading of the acceleration data. It does not perform automatic disk head parking. But there are already some other useful applications for HDAPS, using the /sys interface it provides."
