A Toshiba 460CDT - What distro?

I've had this computer for a while running Windows 98 since it was the only computer I could get my GPS (don't ask) to work with right. After some work I'm able to transfer files and stuff to it using a program I made.

However the Toshiba is quite old now and has lost its purpose, and I'd like to try and extend it's life just a bit longer, however Windows 98 can't stay.

It's got a P166 w/MMX, CD drive, 2gb hard drive and 32MB of RAM (I might have some more somewhere). I use a network adapter with it but I've used the adapter in linux just fine before.

I've heard DSL would work well, but I'd like some more opinions.

Thanks

32 meg of ram will make it hard for anything with a GUI to work with acceptable speed, these days. More - preferably much more - would be better, but if that's not possible, try the small distros (dsl, puppy, slitaz) and see if any are acceptable to you.
