802.11g


Serious issue here. I have a new laptop here it is a 1.8g compaq presario 2100 with integrated 802.11g built in. I generally just use knoppix but could use any distro that is easy to learn. My question is when I start knoppix it finds my hard wired "wired" network jack but it completely ignores the fact I have a built in wireless card. How can I manually add this in or make it detect some how? '
I have ran LSMOD and others but no help

There is no current driver project out there for any of the 802.11g pre-spec cards that have been shipping a lot lately.

When there is, the first place to check will probably be Jean's site:
