2.6 Kernel IBM Thinkpad 560 problems

Hi folks.

I am trying to install the 2.6.7 kernel (debian packaged) onto an only Thinkpad 560.

It seems to boot OK, but then the screen is garbled through the init process. It seems shadowed.

Has anyone built a 2.6 kernel on such an old Thinkpad?

Michael

You may want to add "vga=normal" to the parameters passed to the kernel in order to make sure no attempts to set fancy high rez consoles are made.
