2.6.8.1 keyboard not working

I have a Toshiba A70 laptop and when I boot with a 2.6 kernel, the keyboard stop working. I tried to plug a USB mouse and my keyboard worked, but it only did it once.

So I tried to put USB in modules because I don't really use it and the keyboard doesn't work even like that...

With a 2.4 kernel it works.

Presently I am trying to install Gentoo and before I had Debian. It was the same problem with debian and 2.6 kernel.

How can I fix that without switching to 2.4?

Thanks in advance

I finally found an answer on google. So if anyone has the same problem, you just have to disable "USB Legacy" in the bios.
