My Laptop can not suspend to ram correctly.

1.I download kernel-2.6.17.8 from kernel.org and install on my Laptop,built with ACPI,APM
and Suspend support.

2.I modified /boot/grub/menu.lst with "reseum=/dev/hda2" appened to kernel line

I use this command to check!

If it doesnt resume from sleep, don't use sleep. Simple as that. It doesnt say "experimental" on the feature list for nothing!

Try passing the acpi_sleep=s3_bios as a kernel parameter during boot-up. This fixed the Suspend to RAM problem in a laptop showing the same symptoms.
