[Help!]Laptop can not suspend to ram
My Laptop can not suspend to ram correctly.
1.I download kernel-2.6.17.8 from kernel.org and install on my Laptop,built with ACPI,APM
and Suspend support.
2.I modified /boot/grub/menu.lst with "reseum=/dev/hda2" appened to kernel line
3.I restart computer and my laptop can suspend to disk.But Suspend to memory work incorrectly
I use this command to check!
$cat /sys/power/state
mem disk
According to the line,It means "suspend to memory" was supported
when I make my laptop suspend to memoy,the following things happened
1.when suspent to mem,I try wake it up,but the screen can not wake up
2.when I try to wake it up,it restart!
Help! Please ,any body!

If it doesnt resume from sleep, don't use sleep. Simple as that. It doesnt say "experimental" on the feature list for nothing!

Try passing the acpi_sleep=s3_bios as a kernel parameter during boot-up. This fixed the Suspend to RAM problem in a laptop showing the same symptoms.
