what make new kernel version diliered so quickly and so succussfully!


Hello everyone!
I always want to find out how linux -- so a huge size software project can be developed, tested and released! you know, so many excellent programmers from deferent zones and countries contribute kernel,but that's a big problem that how to choose a good idea and how to let others understand your design.

On the opinion of software engineering, linux is a phenomenon!!!

I assume you are referring to the Linux kernel development process. Each of the 1000+ packages that comprise a typical distribution may have its own process.

A good overview of the kernel development process is here (PDF).

I'm working for a chip company and leading a team aimed to develop SDK for a new chip, but my team seemed to lost in no endless delay!Maybe I can find a way to get out.
