Wanted: 2.6.20.2 .config for laptop, Please

HELP!!.
anyone out there able to upload/email me a .config file for the above as ive tried to upgrade the kernel to no avail.
just cant seem to get bits working.
im using a Gericom Ego laptop, and would like to get acpi and the ipw2200 working,(they work ok in FC6, but i want to go back to slak) its not much to ask!!!!

have gone back to Slackware 10.2 as v.11 doesnt seem to like the laptop, always locks up after 10 mins or so, have tried the 2.4 and both 2.6 kernels , but no joy.

so anyway im hoping that i could use a 'running' .config file and then use make oldconfig.tried using FC6 config, but it didnt like that very much

im ok with doing a kernel upgrade of sorts, it boots and runs ok but cant seem to sort out acpi etc, also get a few warnings when running make modules.

hope this isnt being cheeky

regards mark

Nobody could provide that for you unless they had the exact same model laptop as you do, and even then, you neglected to give the model number from your laptop on the off chance anyone actually had that same one.

ok, i thought that if i ran make old config that it would keep some settings, like acpi etc and then i would only have to answer for newer

I will just have to keep plugging away

thanks anyway mark

That would be the easier. As FC6 is customizing their kernel (like Suse), they maybe have added some CONFIG lines so maybe the make oldconfig is getting trouble. I'm surprised that it doesn't work at all. What is displayed when you make oldconfig?
ALso manually editing problematic lines can resolve problem.

it went through ok,but i think i need to use another cmd like menuconfig or xconfig so i understand what they are. when i ran make modules it went ok but i had a few that said flag was not set and some mentioned 'deprecated. wouldnt want to post the whole of the compile messages.

i was still able to boot the kernel ok, probably lucky there, but i couldnt see any mention on bootup the usual messages for acpi and ipw2200.
