View a changelog of a particular file in kernel sources

Hi,

What is the best way to view a ChangeLog history of a particular source file in Linux kernel from one particular release until another release?

For example, I want to see a full complete changeLog for r6040.c file from 2.6.25 until 2.6.33 (i.e. including all intermittent releases). Is there any way (may be through git??) to view a all the change sets made to this file?

Thanks

Yes git will do it. If clone the repo you can do:
Code:
git log somefile.cc
But, it is probably easier to use the web interface. For example:

http://github.com/mirrors/linux-2.6/...rs/net/3c523.c

Cheers,

Evo2.
