Hi, is it possible to make a module connect to my server (on my LAN) or that it starts to listen on udp port for broadcasts?

I imagine it is possible to write a kernel module that is natively capable of networking (rather than relying on userland applications to set it all up); but I think you would get better luck with this question in the Kernel forum.
