upgrading fedora core kernel 2.6.15-1.2054 to

my os is fedora core 5
my kernel is

$ uname -r

i would like to install a newer kernel
iv got the following rpm from the SuSe 10.1 DVD


is it possible to install that kernel on fedora core 5?

any help with this matter would be apreciated

Why???? The SuSE kernel is not meant for Fedora Core 5. If you want a newer kernel for FC5 then use yum, as root from the console or xterm session type;

yum -y update yum ;this updates yum and related packages first which is needed
yum -y update

Reason (example);

Use the tools and packages meant for your distribution and do not attempted to mix rpm packages not for your redistribution.
