Question Ubuntu installation fail - "Kernel panic - not syncing: ..."


Hello,
I want to install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on my computer.
I had downloaded the .iso file and burned it to a DVD. I rebooted my computer. Then there was a selection, I select install and entered.
It loaded. Then there was a error:

Please help me, this is the first try to install Ubuntu.

can you boot that DVD on another host? (you do not need to install anything just wait for the error message or first question)
Is this HW worked before?

I searched in the selection for errors on the DVD, and I got this message:

I tried it on an other computer, but it didn't worked too.
The same error message.
What is HW?

HW is hardware, your PC. probably the DVD is corrupted.

Yes, it works, Windows 8 is already installed.

so you need to write another DVD, check it and install ubuntu.
