system unresponsive to cltr+alt+delete

hello,

well as you may have read from previous posts in this forum i'm doing some experiments with kernel , which often go wrong ...LOL

it's quite a nuisance that the kernel does not respond to cltr+alt+delete during the boot time in order to reboot because a kernel panic has happened.

also the system seems totally unresponsive to pretty much anything even to ACPI shutdown orders from my laptop power button.

so how i can make the kernel responsive instead of having to pull the plug everytime things go bad (because i hate doing that)

cheers

I always check with the capslock key....if you can't make the capslock light blink, then hold the power button. That's the way it goes....

well under normal circumstances everything works fine including the cltr+alt+delete .

but when the kernel panics everything locks up , so the question is how can i recover from a panic?
and by recovery i mean rebooting the system without pulling the plug..

cheers

I wonder if the kernel "panic=n" command line parameter still works?
