SUSE USB installation boot up fails dep. on IDE or SATA
Hi friends,
I have a little problem. I've installed SUSE 10.1 on a 512MB usb drive. There is only one / partiton on the usb stick. Depending on hard disk configuration I have to change root= kernel parameter to 1) /dev/sdb1 if I have a computer with 1 SATA drive 2) /dev/sda1 if I use a PC with IDE drives I would like to boot automatically without passing root=??? everytime to the kernel. Do you know any workaround for that. Any help is appreciated! |
