Question Strange Permanent Cursor on Console Kernel 2.6.28

I use Kernel 2.6.28 without any X-windows.
I notice a strange permanent non blinking cursor on the screen. The location is 2 rows above the bottom of the screen, first column on the left edge of the screen.

When the screen scrolls, the cursor remain at its position.
This permanent non blinking cursor may damage CRT screen in long term. The cursor did not disrupt any program / applications.

How to eliminate this permanent, non blinking cursor?

Exclamation

How to reproduce this strange cursor:

The strange cursor will NOT appear with the following kernel configuration:

# CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE_DETECT_PRIMARY is not set

But the strange cursor will appear with the following kernel configuration:

CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE_DETECT_PRIMARY=y

Can someone inform kernel developers about this problem?
This problem may damage CRT in the long term.

Either describe or check your kernel and the video hardware inside your computer (or do both) or even decsribe your screen and cursor more. I have seen blinking things on video hardware that is just about to wear out, though it usually looks more drastic, and I have seen funny video output from kernels too.

By the time I had posted you described it is probably a kernel problem, not hardware one, but I am unsure. Do you really need detect_primary? I think you can pass kernel parameters.
