Question some enquires on linux kernel


Dear Sir/Madam,
1.I want to know what scheduling policy is used in linux kernel for multi core architecture?
2.How linux is tackling the issue of scalable multi core architecture.As barrelfish OS is under development for scalable multi core architecture.Can barrelfish replace linux?

Please tell us a bit about what kind of class you are taking, what you have studied so far, etc.

Also, what have you found in Google searches?

1.I am mtech student of comp. scie. and engg. dept. of iitkgp,India.I am working on a project titled "developing OS for scalable multi core architecture".
2.I have knowledge on theoretical part of comp. scie. and engg.
3.I don't find scheduling policy for multi core.

It's called research, and part of a college-degree's stated purpose (in any country in the world) is to teach you how to do it.

Hopping onto a website and asking someone to spoon-feed the answers to you is not "research," and ... oh by the way ... your instructor probably is watching you try. Good luck with your grade.

If you are showing this little effort into researching your own project, why even bother to do the project?

I searched in net but I could not able to find out answer of following questions clearly=>
1.Is there any scope of improvement for linux OS scheduler for scalable multi core architecture.

You were provided a link to it above. Did you click it? Did you read the results??? It's answered clearly in one of the MANY links on that Google search. If you can't understand the answers, then you need to talk to your teacher.
