shell script reads all file names passed on the command line

Dears,

I want your help in the following shell script

Write a shell script (named outfile.sh) that reads all file names passed on the command line and –depending on the option that is used- write the files names out in all uppercase letter (if the option is –u), write the files names out in all lowercase letter (if the option is –l) or prints the contents of files on the screen (if the option is –p).
Remark: Implement this shell using your own function upper(), lower() and print().

awaiting to hear from you

regards

Hello and welcome to LinuxQuestions,

This question sounds a lot like homework. If it is, then you'll probably get very little response to it, since the rules indicate that LQ users are reluctant to do your homework for you. You'll learn a lot more doing/trying yourself.

On the other hand, if you post what you have done and where it fails, then I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction and/or indicate your errors.

Kind regards,

Eric
