PS2 keyboard driver and PS2 mouse driver don't get loaded in init 3/init 5

Recompiled kernel 2.6.28.10 and ps2 keyboard and mouse drivers don't get loaded when in init 3 /init 5 but get loaded in init 1

I tried using gpm and mouse is displayed in init 1 and so is keyboard

Once it goes to graphics, keyboard and mouse both fail

Attaching .config to: http://pastebin.ca/1686592

Well it was a hal issue. Installed hal and ran dpkg-reconfigure on it and it worked fine:

aptitude install hal
dpkg-reconfigure hal

BTW hal requires inotify to be built as part of kernel so i had to recompile kernel with inotify support
