Problem installing Fedora 13
Hey people,
first post! So Im trying to install fedora 13 on a gateway pc with intel pentium three at 866 mhz. on 256 ram on a blank 12 GB hard drive. When I tried to install fedora on a iso cd, I went to menu and hit boot. screen showed the three loading one on top of another. then I got message :Kernel Panic, not syncing. attempted to kill init! Any ideas please? would be greatly appreciated.:( :newbie: HELP?!?!?!?!?? |

First, I fixed your title. Please clarify exactly what steps you followed. For example, did you run in Live CD mode before installing? When you installed, did everything go smoothly? What happens when you boot the computer--e.g after the POST, do you get a menu which includes Fedora? When you say "3 loading one on top of another"--3 what? what exactly happens? |
that is a very old machine for tiring to install fedora 13 on
