Need help in building CODEC driver for ALSA.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I need your assistance in developing CODEC driver.
I want to build ALSA codec driver for Micronas DAC3550A chip.

In linux source 2.6.23 ---- /linux-2.6.23/sound/alsa/soc/codecs/
there are built-in drivers for Wolfson wm8731,wm9712 etc
But there is no built-in driver avialable for dac3550 chip.

My platfrom details:
---------------------------
Kernel version : linux-2.6.23
Architecture : AT91RM9200
Processor : ARM

From the Documentation avilable in /linux-2.6.23/Documentation/sound/alsa/
I understood that we need platform, machine and codec driver to bring up Audio support.

So, i am using....

Platform driver : at91-i2s.c
Machine driver : ?
codec driver : ?

I have to build these machine and codec drivers...for my platform.
Any information on how to build these driver helps me lot.

Please acknowledge.

Thanking you,
Regards,
Janardhan

not sure about alsa module but looking at kernel 2.6.23.11 I see a similiar module under the oss section.
file:///usr/src/linux-2.6.23.11/sound/oss/dmasound/dac3550a.c
Now oss can go through alsa but no expert on that. May not have the room depending on what you are building on the arm.
