mount and unmount in kernel mode

Hi,
I am trying to mount my drive partition from inside the kernel code.
I have tried using the command system("mount /mnt/c"); , but this thing causes an error during kernel compilation.
Can anyone help me on how to mount and unmount devices from the kernel code i.e from within the kernel mode

i think mount command will not work in kernel mode
as it is a command provided to the user which works in user space

u should see the implementation of mount in kernel source

What are you trying to accomplish? If you need to open a file, chances are you should be doing your task in user space.
