mkinitrd problem: missing modules

Dear *,
I have a problem with 2.6.20 compilation. The problem is that when I try to make initrd (mkinitrd), I get error message saying that some modules are missing (ata_piix). This module is really missing in /lib/modules/...

I've changed .config accordingly but still the same problem. Probably I've missed some option -- please can you help me with this? What should I have in .config so that ata_piix is created as module?
Since I cannot post attachements, I don't paste my actual .config here but I'll do it on demand if somebody needs to see it.

Thanks in advance for any hint.

Isn't it CONFIG_SCSI_ATA_PIIX=m ?
