Linux vs Kyocera KPC650 EVDO Card

I'm wondering (hoping) there might be someone who would have greater knowledge than myself in getting a Kyocera KPC650 card working within the Linux environment. To my knowledge thus far...the newly released Linux Kernel 2.6.18 does in fact support the KPC650 card (/kernelnewbies.org/LinuxChanges)?? Another question would be which Linux distribution would either have this kernel, or which distribution would be best suited to upgrade the kernel to make this application function?

PLEASE HELP...!!
MANY THANKS...!!

KPC650 Install

Sorry for the long delay on the answer. Here are some instructions I wrote up to be able to install the KPC 650 on Linux. I have done this on Fedora Core 4,5,6 , Suse 9.3, 10.0, 10.1 , and Ubuntu Drapper and Edgy. If you have any questions or suggesstions please reply on my forum or blog.
