Linux Scheduler Performance Testing


I am doing a research project for my university where i have to conduct research into how linux scheduler works under different stress tests. I need some benchmarking tool that will be able to give result for various scheduler performance metrics. Is there anyone that know of such a tool?? Also i need to do the same for Windows...pLEASE HELP.

When I read the title I thought there were some results here or links to same.

I hope you do this, would like to see the results. You do realize the kernel scheduling has been the topic of many a PhD thesis, right?

To be blunt, it seems that the question shows that the task may be over your head. But don't let that stop you.

Are you fluent in C? Now you may be lucky and find that the linux kernel already has had some comparisons done on the different scheduler techniques and might be a good start point.
