Hi ,

I want to install KGDB with my linux 2.6.23 kernel,

can anybody kindly guide me,

I have two machines with serial port cable.

For temporary reason ,I am working with kdb,

steps for kdb

1.Download kdb patch from ftp source for ur perticular kernel

2.Then patch -p1< kdb-2.6-xx-xx

3.You have to insert 2 kdb patches 1 is common and 1 is i386

4.Then compile kernel doing menuconfig etc ,selecting kdb support

5.shift+pause will start kdb

6.google kdb + ibm

its good documentation there google rocks!!

Yeah Kdb is good ..
But,it doesn't support PowerPC arch which I really working on.
Any other ideas?

google powerpc + kdb

It says 2.6 linux for powerpc supports kdb

I can't find any info on powerpc...
There is just kgdb availble for ppc
