Kexec Module

Where can I find the source to build the kexec kernel module? Also, where can I find information on how to configure it for my specific system/kernel?

I feel like I just gotta say that the whole notion of "kexec" scares the willies outa me . . . I'd much rather have a server take a little bit longer to come back on line, in a known-good and known-reliable state, than to compromise those things in exchange for a few clock-seconds.
