Kernel panic: Not syncing - fatal exception in interrupt.

Hi guys,

i have linux maybe for 6 months, i use Ubuntu. Recently i upgrade to version 11.10 (clean install) and i get very often this error - is not exactly the same, bat is it black screen and there is no another way then reboot computer manually. I can't find nothing, which caused this crash - it's really random.

Bat this error i get also on older Ubuntu installation (11.04) bat no so often...

There is screen of last error - http://ubuntuone.com/4igcOBokFapOHjhZLIdLhP

Is your hard disk very old? It look like the crash is relative to file system.

Yes, your friend may be right. Based on crashed process name, alsa-sink, it is relative to sound card.

Good luck with that, but I'd be more thinking that there could well be a software problem with the driver, versus a malfunction of the device. Keep us posted.
