kernel errors present

Hello

I just upgraded Redthat ES 4 's 2.6.9-42.0.10.EL kernel to 2.6.9-55.0.2.EL.
The log says:
--------------------- Kernel Begin ------------------------

WARNING: Kernel Errors Present
end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector...: 1 Time(s)

---------------------- Kernel End -------------------------

What does this mean and is there a fix for this if it's a problem?

Thanks!

There was an error when accessing (trying to access) a floppy. If you don't have a floppy (or floppy drive), you may simply ignore this message.

Thanks. But the server does have a floppy drive (no floppy disk inside though). Is this normal to get a kernel error like this in this case?

It's hard to say. The error may mean simply that there's no floppy in the drive. If you have a more detailed log, the exact error code may appear. Without it, it's just guessing.
