Question kernel: BUG: Bad page map in process httpd


Hello,

I've fresh installed CentOS 6, kernel 2.6.32-71.29.1.el6.x86_64 (i'm using this server for web hosting)... Hardware is brand new too.

The problem is why my server randomly crash this days...

Does anyone has any idea what causing this crash?

It appears to be a bug in httpd. When you say your server crashes, do you mean that the Apache Web Server stops working?

Hello,

When it crashes, I must hard reset it. On screen I see only Call trace message and can't do nothing with it...

No... a bad page-table entry must be a kernel bug, since a page table entry is a hardware specific structure. If it is always specific to httpd and if it is repeatable, then these are very important clues. I would start by ensuring that your kernel is up-to-date and correctly configured. Open an incident report with your distro provider.

Yes, it's always httpd.

I've reported this bug to CentOS community -> http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=5199
