kernel and initrd image does not boot using efi stub loader
Hi all,
I am using the elilo stub loader to boot my UEFI system which works fine, by the way. The problem that I am having is whenever I compile a new kernel,I am not able to boot into that kernel if I am using an initrd image associated with it. The stub loader says that the kernel and initrd files are loaded, but the process just stops there.
I am using kernel 4.1.2 and when I compile in the necessary modules into the kernel and boot without the initrd image, it boots just fine. I am using Slackware-14.1 on an x86_64 system. Is there a command that I can use to debug the efi sub loader process to see exactly where things are hanging? I already have verbose=5 in the elilo.conf file. Any help would be appreciated.
Distribution: Mainly Devuan, antiX, & Void, with Tiny Core, Fatdog, & BSD thrown in.

I think you may have to run (e)lilo for it to pick up on your new kernel & initrd, (used to have to do that when I last used lilo, but that was a long time ago now). Perhaps check with man elilo.
