kdb patch for linux-2.4-31

hi
i had got the kdb-v4.3-2.4.27-i386-1.bz2 patch for linux-2.4-31 kernel.
but when i applied the patch.
i see at last:-

patch:***** Cannt remane file /tmp/po8uiz9J to kdb/modules/kdbm_x86.c : not a directory

if i do make and make install . will it cause any problem aur not?
if yes then what and how can i get out of this.

Thanks
Prabhakar
