I installed the vanilla kernel on Linux Mint and....
I was installing a vanilla kernel on Linux Mint and now it won't boot up. All that happens now is 2 lights on my keyboard just flash. Any one have any quick fixes? I have a linux mint live usb so I am open for suggestions.
Please help. Thanks in advanced. If none of the fixes work I will install Slackware on it.(Even though I despite the idea on this slow computer I have.) The computer currently runs Linux Mint 9. I think it is the boot loader. After I ran grub-update(something along those lines as suggested by another website.) then I rebooted and now I need help please. |
I do not understand exactly what you were doing, an upgrade? Here is a great tutorial I used when installing grub2 from a live cd.
