How to upgrade kernel in rhel6/centos6 with internet. manually download and upgrade.

can anyone help me upgrading kernel for centos6/rhel6(no rhn support) without internet. I want to download it from kernel.org and upgrade. Please any one help me.

upgrade? Replacing the standard kernel with a different version isn't really "upgrading". Do you have a truly valid reason for NOT using the official kernels that centos / redhat provide? There are lots of patches and changes between their kernels and the original vanilla versions of that kernel at kernel.org, let alone the huge differences between an el5 2.6.18 kernel and a kernel.org 3.2 one.

I dont deny u but I want know the process how to do it manually unlike ubantu with a single command. I came across this issue in,an interview. Please tel me.
