In the first case it is working and in the second it is not.why it happens so?
Are these machines using the same kernel configuration?

Look into /proc/interrupts to see which IRQs are actually used.

Sorry cladisch, I forgot to mention the kernels in those machines.It is different kernels . I will try the same kernel in the machine in which i am not getting the output. But while emulating the timer interrupt is getting in irq 0 only.
