i need how can download kernel on the redhat server . i download the file from internet it patch 2.4 .bz
what shall i will do to complet that

You're barking up a fruitless tree, friend.

By that I mean, given especially that you seem to be "just starting out," it matters a great deal where you choose to start. And this isn't the right place.

You need a current distro. You can download Knoppix and stick it on a CD-ROM and boot it up and do absolutely nothing and go a long way toward getting your fingers wet with Linux. There are more distros of Linux than there are leaves on the ground in autumn. Pick one, but make sure it was released in the latter part of 2007.

And hey, just to be sure, I'll say it: I know exactly where you are coming from, and so does almost everyone else "within the sound of my voice." I am most-definitely not making fun of you, or even chiding you. Welcome aboard! ... just don't board here.

i have redhatlinux-9.0 in my system.kernel version 2.4.20-8,gcc version 3.2.2. i want to install ntfs drive to my system.how to do that .So reply me. (But i have patch files for kernels 2.4.21 to 25 because the nrfs-linux drive for 2.4.26 version only.)
