How to enable spi and changes required in kernel

Hi,

I am working on ARM9 based LPC3250 controller with linux kernel version 2.6.34. In my board LPC3250 is interfaced with EEPROM (part number is AT25256A) and i have made below changes in kernel and created uImage

Device drivers -> misc devices -> EEPROM support -> SPI EEPROM from most vendors

Above changes are enough to perform read and write operation from EEPROM as mentioned or have to do other changes in kernel?

How to write and read the data from EEPROM? Please help me.

Thanks & Regards,
Md.Biyababni.
